Gift
Card Processing
Process gift cards directly through the ARS
Point-of-Sale system. This system offers small retailers,
at a small cost, the same
prepaid gift cards that the mass merchants offer.

How it works:
Step One: Design the front of the gift card by
supplying us a logo, a layout with the information you wanted
printed on
the cards.
Step Two: Determine the denomination and quantity
of cards you want to stock.
Step Three: ARS will print the cards with
your layout on the front and a unique barcode on the back.
Colors available
are
Green/Red/Black/Blue. Stock cards are white with the back side
printed in black.
Step Four: Import the diskette shipped with
your cards into the ARS Inventory Management System, display
the cards in
the store, a point-of-purchase display is available from
ARS sales
department.
Step Five: Scan the barcode on the card/cards
when purchased by a consumer at ARS Point-Of-Sale. This process
allows the
cashier to collect the money at the same time it activates
the cards so they may be redeemed. Cards stolen or not scanned
will not be activated and will not be redeemable.
Step Six: All gift cards scanned become
active at all stores during the data transfer functions.
A card sold at one store
may be redeemed at another store with out any additional
data entry.
Step Seven: Redeem the gift card at the ARS Point-of-Sale
by scanning the barcode printed on the back during tendering.
This will deactivate the gift card from being used for any
additional purchase at all stores.
This simple but unique
system is available for a one time setup fee of $99.00 that
includes one POP display, the first
25 cards, and your card layout setup. Each additional card
is $0.50 and must be ordered in quantities of 25 units or
more.
You can choose to get your cards somewhere else. Here
are the requirements for the gift card to work on our system:
1. The barcode on the back of the card must be a unique
number.
2. The barcode font needs to be 3 of 9.
